Step 1

Find an Approved CNA Training Program in Delaware

  • Knowing how to recognize illness or patient abuse
  • CPR certification

Step 2

Step 3

Step 1

You must send your payment for testing fees along with your application before you take the Delaware state nursing examination at the end of your courses. You should receive information about your specific testing date and location within a few weeks. You should dress comfortably for the exam as it will take a few hours.

Step 2

The nurse aide certification exam is given in two parts. The written knowledge examination will be given first. It features 60 questions and must be completed within 1.5 hours. The clinical skills demonstration will be given second. In it, you will have 35 minutes to exhibit your skills before a Nurse Aide Evaluator and show that you are competent in five different hands-on applications. You will know if you passed the examination shortly after completing it but will receive your certification about 10 days following the date of the exam. At that point you will be considered certified and will be listed on the Delaware State Registry for nurse aides.

Step 3

You should begin looking for employment once you have completed the exam and have been added to the nurse aide registry. Your specialized job board makes starting your career easier. Fill out a resume and profile in our job database.
